Jon Caforio

Principal and Sustainability Consulting Leader, RSM US LLP

Jon Caforio leads sustainability for consulting as part of RSM’s strategy practice. He has significant experience with strategy, sustainability, technology, M&A, private equity, global delivery and predictive analytics. He delivers business solutions with global business and technology teams. He is directly involved with delivery on many of RSM’s most complex engagements.

Jon is a member of the strategy and management consulting leadership team. Prior to leading sustainability, Jon led the strategy execution practice, which included strategy (business; ESG advisory), global engagement management (program and project management, global compliance and reporting services), organizational performance and change management, quality engineering, M&A, and delivery assurance. 

He is an experienced leader who successfully identifies and translates business requirements into valuable enterprise investments. He has held leadership roles (CIO; enterprise architecture) in financial services, consumer products, manufacturing and retail companies with domestic and global operations. 

In 2012, Jon was named one of the Top 25 Consultants for Excellence in Technology by Consulting magazine. Prior to RSM, he was a partner with Accenture in the systems integration and technology consulting practice focused on financial services.


Anthony DeCandido

Partner and Co-leader, Sustainability Service Solutions Practice, RSM US LLP

Anthony DeCandido is a partner and co-leader of the sustainability service solutions practice for RSM US LLP. He helps clients create and implement environmental, social and governance (ESG) strategies to transform their businesses for positive societal change. Anthony is also a graduate of the firm’s cutting-edge industry eminence program, in which he represented the firm’s largest industry sector, financial services, and was tasked with understanding, forecasting and communicating economic, business and technology trends shaping middle market businesses. He joined RSM in 2005.

As co-leader of RSM’s sustainability services solution practice, Anthony helps clients understand the environmental and socioeconomic impacts of their strategies, programs and investments. Using a comprehensive methodology comprising ESG reporting, key performance indicators, industry and peer benchmarking, and data and systems implementation, he helps clients evaluate their ESG maturity and creates strategies to drive better business results and positive societal change. Given his client service experience in the private equity sector, Anthony’s knowledge base spans all industries that private equity touches, including industrials, consumer products, technology, health care and financial services.

Anthony has been involved in RSM’s culture, diversity and inclusion and environmental strategy since its inception. He previously led the firm’s Family First employee network group, focusing his efforts on elevating the roles and responsibilities of working parents. As the father of four young children, he has championed RSM’s progressive policies in employee practices and programs, such as the firm’s generous flexibility and care policies and procedures.


Sonita Lontoh

Independent Board Director, Sunrun; Advisory Board Member, Jacobs Institute of Design Innovation; Advisor, Swat Ventures

Sonita Lontoh is an accomplished independent board director with expertise in innovation, digital transformation, and climate. She currently serves on the boards of Sunrun (Nasdaq: RUN), the largest consumer solar and battery as a service company in the US, TrueBlue (NYSE: TBI), a global workforce solutions company who in the past three years has connected more than 2 million people to work, and as an advisor to Sway Ventures, a Silicon Valley VC firm investing in the sustainable transformation of foundational industries. Prior, over her three decades of diverse global career as a senior executive at both new innovative businesses within large global Fortune 100 companies such as HP, Siemens, PG&E; and at entrepreneurial, VC-backed Silicon Valley technology companies, she had led programs that have delivered positive impact to businesses, consumers, and society. She is a purpose-driven leader passionate in advancing technology for humanity. She has been recognized by the White House, the US State Department, Directors & Boards, San Francisco Business Times, and inducted into the Asian Hall of Fame and Women in Manufacturing Hall of Fame. Sonita serves on the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD) Blue Ribbon Commission on board culture and on the World Economic Forum/NACD climate advisory council. She is NACD-directorship and climate certified, DDN-cybersecurity certified, and has completed the Stanford Directors College and the Harvard Business School’s Audit and Compensation committeescertificates. Sonita is a graduate of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Northwestern’s Kellogg, and UC Berkeley.


David Shaw

Publishing Director, Directors & Boards

David Shaw is the publishing director for MLR Media. He also co-founded and serves as conference director of the Transitions conferences, the Private Company Governance Summit and Family Business Legacy. David writes frequently on governance issues for public and private companies, and develops and maintains close relationships with multi-generational family-owned businesses. He is married, with two grown children.
