Join Veena Ramani, Senior Program Director, Capital Market Systems, Ceres, Amelia Miazad, Founding Director & Senior Research Fellow at Business in Society Institute at Berkeley Law, and Lisa Bougie, Independent Director & Digital Transformation Committee Chair, Eileen Fisher, as they explore different corporate approaches and highlight key questions that directors can ask of management to uncover possible lapses in oversight. David Shaw, Publishing Director, Directors & Boards, will moderate the discussion.
What is the role of the board in overseeing environmental and social risks?
How are these risks similar to traditional risks? How are they different?
What does good governance dictate for robust oversight?
This webinar will address how ESG issues can present a variety of risks to corporations – including not only reputational risks, but also operating risks, regulatory risks, supply chain risks and even systemic financial risks. We will dive into the mechanics of how directors can provide guidance on ESG risk identification, prioritization, mitigation and disclosure.
