Paul Portney
Portney has been in his present position at Eller College since 2005, where he also holds the Halle Chair in Leadership and is a professor of economics. From 1981-2005 he was a faculty member for Washington Campus in the nation’s capital, which provides public policy education for executives. He also served as president and CEO at Resources for the Future Inc., a nonprofit and nonpartisan organization that conducts independent research on environmental, energy, and natural resource issues. Formerly served as chief economist on the White House Council on Environmental Quality. He also held various teaching assignments at Princeton University and the University of California at Berkeley.
