Lisa W. Wardell

Wardell was appointed to her current position in 2016, and has been a member of Adtalem’s board of directors since 2008. She is the only African-American female CEO in the Fortune 1000, according to Adtalem. Previously, she was EVP and COO for The RLJ Companies, a diversified holding company in the financial services, asset management, real estate, professional sports, and gaming industries. She currently serves on the boards of Lowe’s Companies Inc. and ThINK450, the development arm of the National Basketball Players Association.
