Joan Amble

She retired in 2011 from American Express Co., where she had worked since 2004, most recently as EVP of finance. She previously was COO and CFO at GE Capital Markets, and from 1994-2003 was VP and controller for GE Capital Services. In 2008, CFO Magazine honored her as one of the 25 Women to Watch in Finance. Earlier in her career she held positions with the Financial Accounting Standards Board and Ernst & Young. Also is a director of Brown-Forman Corp. and Sirius XM Radio Inc.
