Jindal was the first Indian American elected as well as the nation's youngest governor in 2007. He served two terms as Louisiana's governor. Previously, he served in the U.S. House of Representatives for the state of Louisiana, and held positions as assistant secretary of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, and president of the University of Louisiana system.
