Make sure your board is covered in critical skills areas. “In an era of rapidly advancing technologies, it is crucial for boards to engage directors with the background, experience and skills needed to navigate the associated governance challenges. Expertise in cybersecurity, artificial intelligence and evolving technology stacks is particularly vital. Equally important are directors who can bridge gaps effectively and foster a culture of learning among board members. As new innovations impact every aspect of business — from operations and finance to marketing and development — having knowledgeable and strong voices in these areas is essential for effective partnership, risk mitigation and guidance.”
