Build a great board and embrace the diversity of perspectives. “The best boards bring together a range of experiences, backgrounds, skills and ideas united by the mission and core values of the company they serve. They create a board culture that fosters continuous learning, communication, collaboration, constructive debate and, ultimately, alignment to help management grow shareholder value. Great boards challenge management to ‘see' further into the future and execute on strategies to position the company for sustained success. Great board leaders challenge their boards to share and embrace their diverse perspectives to support and guide management on that journey.”
