Recognize culture as a strategic asset. “Culture is the moral compass guiding corporate values, behaviors and strategic direction. Its significance extends beyond profit margins and boards to wield immense influence in safeguarding a company’s culture, ensuring alignment with ethical principles and all stakeholder interests. By prioritizing cultural oversight, boards fuel environments of trust and accountability. Employee engagements to ‘trust and verify’ the ground truth of the corporate culture are critical. By recognizing culture as a strategic asset, boards empower companies to conquer challenges, seize opportunities, and leave enduring legacies of integrity and excellence. In the boardroom, culture isn't just a concept — it’s the heartbeat of corporate success.”
