Companies  - large and small, public and private - occasionally encounter situations that necessitate internal investigations.  From insider trading to fraudulent business practices, money laundering to accounting irregularities, boards and  their special committees need to  make critical decisions regarding how to address  'red flags' within their companies.  Early decisions  may  dictate a range of possible outcomes, from putting an issue to rest to having the issue challenge the company for years to come.  Staying up-to-date on the laws effecting internal investigations - such as the new Dodd-Frank  whistleblower bounty program, regulatory compliance issues, and the need for independence - has become more important today than ever before.

In this 60-minute free webinar, Barry  A. Bohrer and Richard  D.  Weinberg, partners from one of the nation's premier litigation firms, Morvillo,  Abramowitz,  Grand, Iason, Anello & Bohrer, P.C., corporate governance expert Eleanor Bloxham and Directors & Boards' Jim Kristie, will discuss how Directors should deal with the realities of internal investigations today:   The events that trigger them;  how to control, conduct and determine their scope; and  how to respond to the investigation's findings.
